Job Summary:
Lone Star Lawn and Pest seeks to add a Lawn Technician to the team. Successful applicants will possess a professional demeanor and the ability to meet the requirements of this challenging , fulfilling position. This position requires applying fertilizer and pesticides to the lawn and landscape. Also Identifying and solving problems with lawns and plants. Knowledge in turf management and particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of lawn/plant related issues is a plus but this position is also available for individuals with no experience who would like to be trained in the industry. Responsibilities and duties - Prefer candidates to have knowledge and/or experience in turf and landscape management and be willing to work primarily outdoors in all seasons. Great customer service and communication skills and a passion to learn. Ability to work Monday through Friday and Saturday as required. Must be able to lift 50 lb. bags of fertilizer, load , unload , push , lift , and guide rotary spreader with total weight of 80-100 lbs. Maneuver 300-400 ft spray hose around lawns and obstacles. Ability to work independently is a must. Be able to work in and adapt to changing outdoor weather conditions and temperature changes. Must be able to submit to and pass criminal background check (per TX licensing) and drug testing. Must possess valid TX DL with a good driving record. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
