Job Description

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, and experience with Jules/Jenkins deployment
• Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, testing, or troubleshooting, and establishing standards to validate outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resilience, and security; ability to coach engineers on safe, compliant adoption
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resilience, and security
• Experience developing backend APIs with FastAPI
• Advanced knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
• Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including storage, compute, and networking

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to complex technical problems
• Build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Promote approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; establish validation standards and encourage reuse of effective patterns
• Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value of automation
• Identify opportunities to prevent or automate remediation of recurring issues and improve application and system stability
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams, assessing architecture, technical capabilities, and suitability for existing systems and information architecture
