# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** October 19, 2026 **Location:** Hermitage, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required; self-scheduling available with 4-week schedule blocks**Highlights:** - Progressive Care Unit with 34-bed and 25-bed units offering diverse patient populations and high-acuity care- Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on day shift and 1:5 to 1:6 on night shift with strong tech support (2-3 techs per unit when fully staffed)- Advanced equipment and procedures including BiPAPs, high flow O2, Vapotherm, cardiac drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vacs- Experience with stroke care, post-cardiac catheterization patients, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube management, and central line care- Meditech documentation system- Black scrubs uniform; unit features self-scheduling and "care like family" culture with excellent teamwork**Requirements:** - Active RN license eligible for Tennessee- BLS and ACLS certifications required- Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV skills required- Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred- Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods- Knowledge of tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tube management- Ability to float between PCU units or to medical-surgical floors as needed**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This progressive care unit offers an engaging environment where nurses develop advanced skills while working with a collaborative team that values family-centered care.
